A Look Back at 2024
Small Shop and Big Heart: A Look Back at 2024
As 2024 winds down, we’ve been reflecting on what a year it’s been for Joe Davis Autosport. We’ve always known that small things—like a tiny bolt or a perfectly tightened screw—can make a huge difference. This year, we realized the same is true outside the shop. Every small step we’ve taken as a business has driven something much bigger: connection, hope, and impact in our amazing Perkasie community.
Let’s take a look back at the highlights. Spoiler alert: it’s been a busy (but rewarding) year!
Revving Up the Fun
We kicked things off by sponsoring, planning, promoting, and volunteering at the Perkasie Car Show. Because what’s better than showing off a few horsepower with friends and neighbors? If you spotted us enthusiastically handing out flyers at the Farmers Market or making sure every car was parked & photo-ready—that was us fueled by coffee and community spirit.
We also dove into the deep end (literally) by sponsoring Menlo’s After Dark Swim Event. There’s something magical about nighttime swims with live music, and we were proud to help make that happen. Though, full disclosure, we stayed dry. Mechanics aren’t great swimmers.
Turning Wrenches for a Cause
This year, we put our tools to work for more than just cars. Together with all of you, we raised an incredible $5,400 for breast cancer patients at Grand View Health. This donation represents more than just dollars—it’s a testament to the strength of our community and the compassion we share for those affected by this relentless disease.
We also teamed up with Free Will Brewing to sponsor their Oktoberfest event, where we raised funds for the Bucks County Opportunity Council. Nothing brings people together like good beer for a great cause!
And when it came to lacing up for a good cause, we proudly sponsored the Jack-O-Lantern 5k/10k to support local firefighters. If you saw us on the sidelines cheering you on, just know we were this close to joining in. Next year, maybe.
Empowering the Next Generation
This year, we welcomed two apprentices, Logan and Jonah, into our shop family. Under our shop foreman Ryan’s mentorship, they didn’t just learn how to turn wrenches—they learned how to think critically, problem-solve, and build a foundation for a successful career in automotive repair. Joe’s philosophy is simple yet profound: “If you give a man a fish, he is fed for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, he is set for life.” That belief drives everything we do here, especially when it comes to training the next generation.
We hosted Troop 2423 for their Car Care Badge training, teaching them the difference between a lug nut and a donut. Watching these future leaders gain confidence under the hood reminded us why we love what we do.
And speaking of young talent, we sponsored a Graphic Design Challenge for Bucks County Technical School’s Art & Design students. The creativity these students showed was off the charts—so much so that we’re considering asking them to design our next post cards.
Lighting Up the Holidays
When it came to holiday cheer, we contributed to Kindness Between Friends with a Thanksgiving Blessing Basket donation, because everyone deserves a reason to smile (and an excuse to unbutton their pants after a feast).
We pulled out all the stops by sponsoring the Perkasie Christmas Tree Lighting. Seeing the community come together under the twinkling lights warmed our hearts—which was the only source of warmth we received that freezing cold evening!
And as the temperatures dropped, we made sure no one went cold by donating to the Hat & Mitten Tree. There’s nothing quite like the thought of someone staying warm thanks to a small gesture.
Celebrating Local Wins
When Perkasie grows, we all grow. That’s why we’ve been thrilled to celebrate the grand openings of businesses like Cannon Chiropractor and So Fresh So Clean Juice. A healthier back and a fresh juice? That’s a combo we can get behind.
We also joined in on the fun at Perkasie’s First Friday events, where we mingled, laughed, and maybe ate one too many food truck tacos. No regrets.
Looking Forward
As we head into 2025, we’re filled with gratitude—for our team, our customers, and this incredible community that we’re lucky to call home. From bolts to blessings, this year has proven that small actions can drive monumental change.
So here’s to another year of making a difference—one repair, one event, and one act of kindness at a time. Let’s keep the engine running strong, Perkasie. You’re the fuel that keeps us going.
Cheers to 2025!
